Googles Messages via web is garbage. Is there another way to get messages on my desktop other than switch to all Apple stuff?

For $800 I get the privilege of the current base model, a barely-configurable UI, getting text messages on my mac (but not my linux machine), and...a lightning cable connection.

I need to make a single page HTML-only corporate-looking landing page. Where is the new hotness for really simple HTML-only templates? The usual suspects are multi-page disasters with crazy moving parts, or WP templates.

The 11-year-old has lost her AirPods. She just exclaimed, "Why does [the iPhone] not have a headphone jack? It's stupid!"

She was 4 years old when Apple removed the headphone jack.

She has a couple of wired headphones she's used with her iPad and Mac. These were her first pair of AirPods.

She's experiencing the same thing we all did when they started removing the headphone jack.

Postscript: My current phone, the Pixel 4a, has a headphone jack. Every time I consider upgrading, I remember that little 2.5 mm hole that allows me to have a decent phone conversation.
