My Ubuntu desktop crashed for the Nth time, so I'm installing PopOS. It's still Ubuntu underneath so I have very low expectations for improvement but figured it was worth a shot. I picked up a contract gig yesterday so I will probably be shopping for a Mac soon.

This is based on a small sample size, but I make this statement with some confidence: no American conservative on Medicare finds their staunch opposition to the idea of state provided healthcare ironic.

@starbreaker agreed. That was sort of what I took from the article, just focused on how design is participating, and saying, "Don't do that."

About to head to OKC solo for an art show and a lunch meeting tomorrow. I don't enjoy driving, but I'm not good for much else today for some reason so decent timing.

My Ubuntu desktop just crashed again--actually froze and wouldn't take any input--this time while using VSCode. Waited about 5 minutes before I gave up and power buttoned. Frustrating.

I'm going to watch a local bike race tonight, because it only runs through August. When races start it is going to be 103.6°F

I am confused about this event's scheduling. Is it due to some logistical constraint? Do racers stop doing weeknight races in the "fall"? Or is this actually on purpose?

In any case, I don't really want to drive the 30-40 minutes to the location or stand around in the heat -- yet alone do anything more than stand around! -- but I really need to check it out for reasons.
