I'm cleaning and organizing my office. It wasn't on the "due today" list but something else was that was basically dependent on it. I ended up putting away the guitars I'd gotten out months ago with the hope that having them out would inspire me to noodle on them once and a while. I did not. It's now been a decade since I released any music (a covers record) and 14 years since my last original music was recorded. For the curious, a couple of tracks:

I'm not sure I've ever written this down, but "Yoshimi...", as I came to understand it (probably wrong), is about a girl battling cancer. I recontextualized it on my last record--a concept covers record about my daughter's death--to represent my daughter being taken from this world to do battle in another world. The robots in my context are spiritual forces, possibly the same spiritual forces that have haunted me since her passing.
I use Notion for task management. I have 216 tasks in my "Personal Tasks" database. Prioritization categories become useless at that volume (37 labeled "Priority") so I use due date to queue up tasks for a given day. It is entirely aspirational (12 currently "due today") and negates the purpose of having a due date. But in reality, there are only two due dates: "whenever" and "this has to be done right now or something falls apart".
