I bought my first thing from Metalabel. I just discovered Nadia Asparouhova has a new book out, her "Working in Public: The Making and Maintenance of Open Source Software" (from Stripe Press) was excellent, and I was pleased to find her latest, "Antimemetics: Why Some Ideas Resist Spreading", has been released on Metalabel. My only critique is the end of the checkout UX leaves you without a single link with which to navigate back out.
Browsing user profiles on ideogram.ai/ is one of the most interesting psychological exercises...I'd point to a specific one, but just pick almost any off the home page feed. The one I just looked at made me think, "Surely two people are sharing the same account here."
It doesn't really provide hope for humanity, but does help reinforce just how complex people are.
