I used to pregame a night on the town with a few beers. Now I pregame a sober dinner out with a nap.

@philomath I've had two *incredibly long* hiring processes this spring, neither resulted in the job. One "no", the other is in some kind of limbo. I have to start hitting the market hard next Monday. Really not looking forward to it.
Just restumbled upon daniel.industries/mcu-pd-2017/ and remembering how great that experience was. Microsoft has enshittified Minecraft since, driving away the community of innovative tinkerers in favor of more lucrative young consumers on closed platforms. We've had to adjust our Minecraft U offerings and remove all the coding elements. This might be our last year.

~12 hours later, more than a few hundred $$ to house my family of five for the night, and the craziest boarding pass fiasco where one of the kids wasn't allowed past security with their ticket but the other one was, which took three trips up to the TSA desk and back to the American desk before it worked...we are home...and grateful for electricity in a DFW metro where many are still without.
MCO, never again. That was our third fiasco there out of three attempts over 10+ years.
