A French developer can create a CMS, abandon it, and move on to a humble career in software, and a college student in Houston can fork that CMS, convince another software developer to help him continue the project, turn that into a rather profitable business, and become a wealthy and (until very recently) well-regarded internet person.

I am attempting a Logseq/Notion to just @obsidian migration. The data transfer is a challenge for more reasons than I can fit in a toot. But the desktop app runs so smooth (I'm on PopOS on slow-for-2024 hardware) that I'm still trying (2 days in). I just confirmed it is Electron. HOW does it run better than MOST apps, and WAY better than any other Electron apps (VSCode being a distant 2nd)? Theory: no JS framework?
