@RolloTreadway my last job was >50% "urgent" requests via Teams, and for each one I had to spend time figuring out if it was really a fire or just a passing thought or minor bug or long-standing bug that had already been triaged (often before I started there). This mode of communication wasn't new to me, so I just did the work; but the volume of requests and the communication style were subtly but significantly more toxic, and it took over a year for me to realize it was breaking me.

"ChatGPT has no inner being, it has been nowhere, it has endured nothing, it has not had the audacity to reach beyond its limitations, and hence it doesn’t have the capacity for a shared transcendent experience, as it has no limitations from which to transcend. ChatGPT’s melancholy role is that it is destined to imitate and can never have an authentic human experience." -- Nick Cave
