Going back to the original early 90s 7-speed 🌽
I found replacement pulleys and it is likely I just cleaned 30-year-old dirt off the inner plates while replacing
I got everything installed to find the friction bar-end shifter I planned to use doesn't pull enough cable
Quite good, but I could have, and was, writing stuff like this over 20 years ago. In the deepest of ironies, before I moved to Dallas.
The fire that burned within back then, and still does today, back then I would describe as simply "bad theology", now I just recognize as a lack of theology, just a culture, a funny-because-it-is-obvious permanent opposite-day, like Fox News' "fair and balanced".
I need to shower so I can go to my tiny, failing-by-these-metrics Episcopal church.
